Our different training courses are designed to suit all needs and requirements ranging from professionals seeking new expertise, to individuals wishing to learn new recipes, or young children eager to learn while having fun.

During our dedicated training programmes for both amateurs and experienced food enthusiasts, learn or relearn the art of Mauritian recipes or the great classics of bakery, pastry, and Viennese pastry. After one to two days of training, you will leave our centre with new knowledge that will enable you to bake to your desires!


Training courses for the general public

Hands-on baking

During this workshop, learn how to bake white bread, brown bread, brioche bread, coconut macatias, pizza, pound cakes, and puff pastry.

Le Fournil – Bakery for professionals

We recommend that you follow an introductory baking course or regular baking practice before entering this two-day advanced course. You will learn how to prepare traditional bread, surprise bread, varied baguettes, brown bread, Mauritian “pain maison”, party bread, decorative bread and writing dough, as well as fermented dough.

Le Fournil - Viennese pastry for professionals

- By car, via the M1 freeway, exit at Quay D, take Marine Road to the Customs checkpoint; the Centre is located across the street.

- By foot, from the Immigration Plaza (North Bus Station), cross over, follow the road past ABC to Taylor Smith, take left at the roundabout, then turn left onto Marine Road to reach the Customs checkpoint; the Centre is located across the street.
